Flaming Gorge/Manila

We were able to go to Flaming Gorge again this year. We were able to go up for a whole week this time, which was great! It went by so fast but it was nice to be off of work for more than just a few days. We left Sunday afternoon and headed up there. Shanae rode with us and then my mom, chase and grandpa took the Suburban. My dad joined us up there for a couple days during the week. It was a busy week for him. So we got up there and got settled in. They have finished the upstairs and added a bathroom and another bedroom. This was nice, we usually sleep in the trailer and they all squeeze upstairs. This time we all fit upstairs! It looks so nice and they are all working so hard to get it done. Mom and I always spend Monday cleaning the cabin really nice. I am very allergic to dogs and they have dogs so I have to do some deep cleaning to not live on Allergy medicine. We don’t mind though because we love dogs, so I learn to work with it! So the boys spent a lot of mornings fishing. They really wanted to get a lot of fish so we could bring home fish! It is one of Connor’s favorite parts of fishing. They all were so worn out! Grandpa way overdid it wanting to have so much fun. Connor also helped Grandpa clean gutters, build a window frame, mow the lawn, weed and water. He also helped get the boat ready for fishing and then ready for playing so many times! We were able to go out on the water a couple times but the wind up there sometimes takes over and so we had to end our water days early. It was still nice and relaxing though. Thursday we went to swim beach and got to play in the sand and in the water. Carson gets timid around the water and we are trying to get him more used to it. Well Thursday night, Grandpa’s over-doing it caught up to him and he had a seizure. It was the first time I have been there when he was and it of course shakes you up. We always try to get him to slow down and relax, but he is just like me and is stubborn. (love you grandpaJ) We did just a lot of relaxing through the next day. Connor and I decided to go home Friday afternoon so we could get back for the Hyde Park Celebration. It is one of our favorite celebrations in July and we were sad we were going to miss it so we were very blessed to come home to be there. We had a great time in Manila and we absolutely love going!
