Catch up post: Cody Milestones!

 Wow it's been so long that there is seriously so much to update! But I gotta start somewhere so how about the beginning:) haha

Cody was 6lbs 12 oz when he was born and 19 inches long, well he lost about 10 ounces in the beginning (which is normal) but by his 2 week appointment he was almost back to birth weight and had almost grew an inch!

We did his newborn pictures pretty quick after he was born. Maybe a week old almost, and then dos some brother pictures a week or so later for brothers day! Here are a few pictures! 

My dad of course did some 1 month pictures. With both kids we are so good to take them every month, well more professional ones, but then suck near the end! 

Codiak Michael Balls was blessed on July 5th! It was a great day! He looked so cute in his tux! 

At his 2 month check up he was 12 lbs 6 oz and 22.5 inches! I wrote an update that said, "He is growing so big! Doctor was more than pleased by his head and neck strength and was really surprised by how strong he is! Love this little man and he is definitely bigger than I expected! Shots were no fun but he is doing alright with them right now"

By this time I had gone back to work! Had to see things go by while your away! But ya gotta do what ya gotta do! 

Went to visit Grandma Jill, Grandpa Steve, Uncle Justin and Aunt Jodi at the end of July. We went to say goodbye to grandpa before he lost his fight to cancer and left us:( 

Cody's cousin Aiden is 2 months younger than him and will probably be best buddies when they get big, if Cody doesn't squish him! Haha! 

At 3 months I wrote this. "Someone woke up happy this morning, and he is 3 months old today! Wow time goes by fast. Codiak loves to sit-up (with help) and look out at the world! He loves to hold his head up and is so strong! He loves to smile and coo and talk with you, and is getting so big and grown up!"

Him and brother love to match! 

My dad did some adorable pictures just over 3 months as well! 

Cody got to enjoy the fair and rodeo this year! He seemed to enjoy it fine and I think will love it next year! 

Cody has his first camping trip and first trip to Jackson Hole! In Jackson we took a double stroller and everyone thought Aiden and Cody were twins! It was fun! 

At 4 months here is what I wrote. "This little man is 4 months old today! Wow it is going by fast. He loves to talk to you and smile! He is laughing more and more everyday and thinks he should start sitting up! He is such a great baby! Love you Codiak!" And this from his checkup "4 month check for this big guy! 16lbs 13oz (93%) 25.25inches (75%)! Looks great and got the ok for solid foods! Bring on the baby food!"

He loves food! 

We got to go to a cabin in island park for conference with my parents and siblings as well as Grandpa and Grandma Dennis! It was a blast and such a relaxing get away! Can't wait to go next year;) 

We got some family pictures while we were there by my dad as well and we love them! 

At 5 months I wrote this "This stud is 5 months old! It has gone so by fast! He is growing up! he loves Pears, Applesauce, Sweet Potatoes, and tried peaches today • he loves to talk • he loves to jump • so smiley • loves to watch brother... Always • grabs and plays with toes • loves to hold his blanket and bottle. Love this 5 month old little Codiak!"

Cody has his first Halloween! He was a teddy bear and it suited him so well! 

On November 2nd he FINALLY rolled from back to tummy! He wanted to wait to be 6 months old;) 

After his 6 month check up I wrote "This stud had his 6 month check up! It crept up on me. He weighs 18lbs 10oz which dropped him to the 80th percentile and is 27 inches tall which bumped him up to the 80th% a big dude! Doc was super impressed by his phenomenal eye contact (docs words) he was sitting like a champ for him and said he looked perfect! Look at you grow Codiak! He cried for literally 2 seconds with his shots and laughed the whole way home! What a tough dude!"

November 7th, Grandma Jill and Whitney 

Came down and got to see my boys! Sadly I couldn't see them! But I am so glad they got to hang with my family and boys!

Cody had a great thanksgiving and loved trying all the food 

We had a real Christmas tree this year! He didn't I wth us to get it, but did get to enjoy it! 

He got to meet his elf this year! Carson named him Ryan last year! He wasn't to interested this time! 

At 7 months I posted "I am late, but this little man is 7 months old • loves food, favorites are fruit and sweet potatoes • loves bath time • loves to sit and play wth brothers toys •  horrible sleeper and worse napper • sits up and rolls like a champ • working on learning the "pre" steps to crawling • wants to be involved in everything • a mommy's boy • so cheerful • always smiling! Our little ray of sunshine:)" 

Cody had his first Christmas this year and loved it! 

My dad got some amazing shots on Christmas! 

Here is what I wrote at 8 months. "8 Months old! I can't believe it, and it is going by way too fast! This stud is so insanely happy • has 1 tooth and the 2nd is there and you can feel it, just hasn't popped through yet • wears 12 month (or bigger) clothes • sleeping a bit better • loves baby food and trying normal food • so good at rolling around and turning around on the floor • knows the technique to crawl and so close • says "ba ba" and occasionally "ma ma" • had his first Christmas • loves everyone and gets so excited to see you! We love our little Codiak!"

Well his 2nd tooth popped through and he is super sick right now, but there is an update on Cody! Don't worry family update and Carson updates are coming!
