Milk...

Carson had his 1 year check up February 11th. At this appointment the doctor told us that we should do a full diet. Meaning Milk, Peanut Butter, Honey, everything we had been waiting on till he reached a year. We use milk products all the time like when we make things. He loves Alfredo pasta and quesadilllas and cheese, if he could pick this would be all he would eat. Well after his appointment we started adding milk. He hates it and spits it out. He thinks it tastes gross which I agree with. Whole milk is gross! 1% is the way to go. So we have been mixing it with his bottles to get him to drink it. Well when we took him in for his appointment he was sick and had fever and diarrhea and everything so we didn't think anything of it when his diarrhea continued. It wasn't until Friday 2  weeks later that we knew it was a problem. We had always been told by people that diarrhea comes when teeth are coming as well. Well that is not what the doctor said so I was glad I called and that it wasn't just from his new teeth coming in. He said if he doesn't have a fever then teeth don't cause it. So it finally came down to stopping milk and seeing what happened. Well 2 days later he was great. His first poop that wasn't super runny in a long time! So for a while now we are having to ease him back in to milk. So back to formula for us. We wish he could stop now seeing as he thinks he is too big for a bottle, but we will see when that will happen. You could just tell the past few weeks that he wasn't feeling 100%. He looks skinnier to me as well. But he is back to normal now and just as happy and full of attitude! I can't believe he is 13 months now. He just keeps growing and growing. He is attempting walking now and is finally getting more teeth so he can chew! We love our little man!
