Our Decembers are always so busy with work, family parties and of course Christmas! Connor would be upset with me if I didn't blog about him hunting. Connor is in love with hunting. Honestly its probably his first love. He doesn't get a chance to go often, but loves it. If I didn't have to work Saturdays he would go every week!
We have been getting together with Connor's cousin Tyson and his fiance' Laney. Who also happen to be good friends of mine, seeing as we all used to work together. We enjoy having dinner with them and catching up! It has been nice for us also because none of Connor's friends are married so we don't really do couples things. (Except for Andrew who just got married before Christmas.) We went to the lights with Laney and Tyson in Salt Lake and had a great time. We weren't down there for long seeing as we all work different hours, but it was a good time anyways!
We had to get some pictures of them kissing in this spot, because a couple weeks before, Tyson proposed right there!
Connor's best friends have all been coming home from their missions the past couple months, so our december has been filled with mission homecomings. Kalvin came home and then Kendall. The sad part was they both reported in their home wards on the same Sunday at the same time, but in different wards. It was hard to pick between them but we wanted to be there to support both! Connor has been spending a lot of time with Kendall the past few weeks. Which has been nice! We love talking with him and catching up! We don't see Kalvin as much because he is always working, or playing basketball but we are super happy that he is back as well!
Carson is getting big and has even more personality than he did before! If that is at all possible. He loves to watch it snow and we got a lot of snow just before Christmas so he was pretty excited! His favorite part about Christmas has to be the lights! He loves to see them on and will get very concerned if he goes by a christmas tree without any lights on!
Carson is getting more and more in to trouble these days. He loves tunnels and to crawl over things and under things. He gets himself into situations that he cant get out of constantly! He loves to play under his highchair, under his saucer, and over your legs! If there is something on the floor he is crawling all over it!
This was Carson's first Christmas this year! He definitely was overwhelmed by the gifts. He is definitely not a kid who gets new toys and things often and has very few, so he didn't know what to think about all the new things. Christmas parties were fun for him because he loves people! He wants everyone to love him and will smile at them till they do!
December 15th was our Christmas party with the White's. We don't get together with them often, but when we do it is always so much fun! We went down to herriman to my grandparents house. Uncle Rick and Aunt Kaily were there with their beautiful daughter Zoe! She is growing up way too fast!
Aunt Michelle and Uncle Brad were there as well with Brooklyn who is so full of personality and adorable and our little Nolan who was so happy and smiley with all the toys and people around! Grandma Pearl came and it was a full house! We were spoiled there and wish we could have given more! Evey thing meant something to us and we will cherish our gifts forever! Carson loves his lightning McQueen jacket and his books and trucks! It was a great day and it definitively needs to happen more than once a year!
My friend Jessica Clawson who has been one of my dearest friends since high school had a baby! I was so excited I couldn't even take it! That definitely made my Christmas all the better watching her welcome her adorable baby boy to the world just a few days before Christmas.
The 22nd of December was our Christmas party with the Griffiths family! It is always a huge event and we see family on my side that we don't see often. We had great food like always and played bingo which we always manage to get a lot of awesome things. Carson had his second Santa experience there. We were able to get a picture.
Christmas Eve was spent working all day, and then off to the Balls party! It is always an adventure getting there with me working 12 hours that day, but this year it was even more of an adventure seeing as we got so much snow! Getting home from work was scary and took forever and then getting bundled up to head there was a chore but it was a great party to go to celebrate Christmas and be with family! That night we got Carson to bed and got the house all cleaned ready for Santa to come.
Christmas morning we had planned to wake Carson up at 8 to open presents but he was up ready to go at 7:15am. We got him up and fed him a bottle and watched him check out what he got from Santa. He got a blue ball and a tractor and some little toys in his stocking. He was so excited about his ball that he crawled right for it and wanted to have nothing else to do with Christmas. He opened his gifts from us which were an apptivity monkey that sings and interacts with your phone to play songs and video, and his motorcycle. It is a walker/motorcycle that he LOVES! He pushes it all around the house and dances to the music.

He puts his feet up on the pegs and everything! It is his favorite toy and he loves it! We did good! Eden and Wes came over to see him open his gifts and Grandma Susan and Grandpa Alan came over that morning to give us our gift and him. We got some bar stools and a griddle for our camp chef. Carson got a tool box and some little pirate man! he loves these because he loves to put them in his mouth and carry them everywhere. Susan has some and that is all he does with them! Next we headed off to my parents where he got even more spoiled again! We got a ton of stuff and things we could use! We got a ton of food storage from my parents and clothes and fun things! Carson got clothes a bunch of Elmo stuff and he got a set of keys that he loves to play with in the car! I was going to get a picture of everything we got this year, but it was hard with Carson trying to get into everything so that will have to be a goal for years to come!New Year's was hard for us this year. We always have something or somewhere to go. My family always gets away for New Years. But with my dad recently being put in as Bishop it was hard to get away. They still managed to get away to Salt Lake and they had a lot of fun. With Connor's job he gets holidays off, but can't ask time off close to holidays. So therefore he got New Year's off, but not New Year's Eve so we couldn't go with them. Connor's Aunt Kathy usually has a party at their place, but they spent the holiday in St. George and so that was out. We had plenty of invites to things for New Year's Eve, but with Carson it is to hard to go out! He would make it being up late at someone's place but the next day he would be the worst kid to be around! So we chose to stay home this year. Connor's parents and sister and brother in law came over to play games and eat tons of junk! We had a bunch of fun and enjoyed a quiet simple New Year's. Carson even got his New Year's Eve on...
they are his favorite toy to play with! Yes the cup was empty but it was pretty funny!
New Year's Day was spent with our dear friend Meghan. We love spending time with her but don't get to often because of our differing work schedules. But she came and we went shooting and watched movies and played games!
Oh Carson is 11 months now. We don't have any pictures yet, because my dad has become super busy, but we will get some soon. Here however are his 10 month pictures we snagged at the beginning of December.
