Christmas time!

This year was such a blast with Carson! So many awesome memories! Carson learned about Santa and his Elf (whom we never got a picture of), but Carson loved him and enjoyed looking for him. He didn't name him like your supposed too, but said he was dead. No clue if he knows what that means. He loved to tell you what Santa says and says it oh so cute!

So on the 14th was our first Christmas party of the year and we happened to have 2 that day. One with my mom's side and one with Connor's mom's. We see Connors family all the time so we decided to go with mine since we hardly see them! (Which we would love to change!) well they all came to my moms. Grandpa and Grandma White, Great Grandma Gourley, Rick, Kaily, Zoe, Aspen,  Brad, Michelle, Brooklyn, and Nolan. Wish Traci's family could have joined us! We had dinner and dessert and mingled with each other! Then on to the gifts! We were spoiled! Carson loved the hooded towel which made him look like my little Jedi, he also got pj's a book, tractors and so much more! He loved it but had a few melt downs... Oh well! It was great catching up!

We then headed to Connors party to try to make an appearance and go for a bit. They were just wrapping up so we weren't there that long.
So Carson discovered the movie case for Home Alone! He showed me the face he does and now loves to do it! He is so smart!
So Carson picked up a not so fun cold the week before Christmas. We fought it hard with diffusers, oils and pain reliever and cold meds. He killed it quick and did great! You could tell he was miserable but he fought hard to get it gone! Connor gave his first blessing and did an awesome job. He has anointed before but this was the "scary" part and he did great!
The big part of this sickness he had was he stopped eating. Drinking was fine he just wouldn't eat. This day we pretty much got a banana in him, that was it.
He was still happy enough to pull faces with me!
So on Saturday the 21st we had 2 Christmas parties again. One with my moms side in Pocatello and one with my Dad's side. Well because of all the storms we were getting the party in Pocatello was cancelled. So we just had the Griffith's party here. It was probably for the best since Carson has been so sick, but it would have been nice to go see them. Well this was definitly the worst day for Carson and he was so emotional.
He constantly wanted to play ball with the big boys and make baskets!

I found a box to make him a basket, he liked it for a sec but it wasn't the same thing.
Carson loves Mindy!

He wanted to play on the stairs and throw the ball down them. He had tons of fun!
Carson loves to look at Santa from a distance and tell you what he says, but mom had to sit on his lap this year and hold Carson. Maybe he was just scared cuz he didn't feel good or what but he was not thrilled at all! We finished the night off with Bingo and then headed home.
So on the Monday before Christmas Grandma and Grandpa Dennis came down to visit and bring gifts. Carson loved seeing them and was super excited for his Police Car! He loved seeing them and we wish we could see them more!!! Connor and I got a sign from them that is adorable!

So on Christmas Eve we went to the Balls party. We ate food and Carson did a lot of playing and running around then we opened gifts and headed home. We had to run to Connor's moms to pick something up and Carson really wanted to jump. So we pulled out the tramp and let him go crazy!

When we got home, we got him in his new Christmas Pj's that Grandma Trish got him and brought over! They are Monters Inc and he says their names so funny! Especially Mike's!

This is Carson's ornament this year. My mom gets him one every year. He loves Nemo!
So Christmas morning we invited Eden, Wes and Connor's parents over for breakfast and to watch Carson open his gifts. We had Breakfast Casserole, Cinnamon rolls, and Connors moms homemade Orange Rolls. When we finally got Carson to eat a bite we got down and uncovered his gifts from Santa so he could see what he got. He just ran straight for the tree completely ignoring the gifts sitting by the couch.it was very funny! Well from Santa he got a baby doll, and a little shopping center with a register and cart. He loves it and wanted us to clap whenever he put the money in the register! He sleeps with his baby every night and gives her kisses all the time!

From us he got some shoes, hat, gloves, snow shovel and sled, he was supposed to get snow pants and boots but we opened those early when we got the huge snow storm the week before. He also got a broom, and bowling set. He loves to help clean and asks to sweep all the time. Lastly we got him a little set with a deer, remote control four wheeler and trailer and guy to ride it! He loves it!

We took him out to play in his sled. He sat in it while daddy pulled him around the yard. He thought it was alright but didn't like tipping over. So he wanted to stop pretty quick!

He wanted to watch Bob the Builder and snuggle with his baby after that.
Well my parents and siblings came over for Christmas lunch and gifts around noon. We decided this year to do things at our house. I am not a huge holiday person and hate the busy craziness. I want a turn to enjoy it so we will do different things every year I think to be able to start our own traditions and continue the ones we love. I really appreciate that my family understood that and was more than happy to come to our house to celebrate with us and change up there usual Christmas to make it work for us! Well for dinner we had, the ham Connor's work gives them every year. It is very expensive and very delicious! My mom made Party Potatoes and rolls and we made beans and had apple sauce as well! We were spoiled! Carson got a bunch of clothes and a Bob the Builder hat and DVD! Connor got a Jacket and 2 gift cards to Sportsmans! He was in heaven! I got a jacket and sweater and a book of pictures from childhood Shanae made, and a gift card for clothes! Together my dad gave us a book of his pictures! They are gorgeous! Connor loves it!
Susan and Eden got this jacket around Black Friday and we saved it to give him for Christmas! He loves being Batman!

So after my parents left Carson went down for a nap and we then headed to Connors Grandparents. They have a party there every year and we were not going to go but they were still partying when Carson woke up. We went there for a little bit before our get together with Connors siblings and parents. Carson got a little semi truck and shirt and Connor and I got gift cards and a Christ figurine.
At Connors parents the kids exchanged gifts. We are all saving up for trips to go on together so we don't spend money on each other but the kids don't get that so we let them get each other things. Either Carter, Aubrey or Elliot had Carson and they got him some cars from Cars:) he loves that movie and loves to play with cars. He loved sitting with Tammie playing on Carter's Kindle.

So later that night when we got home Carson pulled lots of faces with me. Here is his home alone face....
and again....
Tongues!....
This Christmas was so good and fun! I loved doing our own thing and getting to spend time as our family! I love my family!
