Well the last week of June we went to Manilla at Flaming Gorge to stay with my grandparents and family for the weekend. We had a blast! Spent a lot of time boating and the boys went fishing. It was great to get away and to have a break from life. My dad got some pictures of him while we were there for his 5 month pictures! My dad does a great job of capturing Carson's personality.
We went tubing, cliff diving, and fishing. It was a great 2 days of boating!
I was not too excited to go on the tube, especially fast, but I had a good time anyways.
Connor was good not to push me off, but I was worried.
Carson loved the seat that Kaily had up at the cabin. He spent a lot of time in there hanging out with the adults.
For the 3rd of July this year, we spent it with Connor's family up by USU to watch the fireworks! My favorite thing in the world is fireworks and we wanted to see how Carson would like them. He did great! He thought they were so cool and wasn't scared at all!
On the 4th of July we spent it at Randy's house in Hyrum. Connor's family always does a barbeque and watches the fireworks there. Carson only got upset during these fireworks when he was laying down and all the loud one's went off all at once! Don't mind the picture. The flash made us super bright!
We went to the Hyde Park Celebration again this year. They are my favorite fireworks of all time! I stole a picture off Kristin's blog, because I am getting really bad at taking pictures! But we had fireworks Friday night and then the parade Saturday. We also watched Jake and Alan compete in the cycle-cross race and then went to Pizza Pie Cafe with everyone afterwards. It was a great weekend.
On August 3rd we went camping with Eden and Wes for their ward camp out. We had the car all packed and ready to go and then it wouldn't start. We were pretty upset, but we ended up taking Susan and Alan's truck and went anyways. It was Carson's first camping trip. I of course didn't get any pictures. We weren't up their long, so that is how I am going to justify it, but it was a great experience. I didn't sleep well, because I was so worried about him and it was so so so cold, but he did OK and we definitely will do it again.
On August 4th, Connor and I went for a motorcycle ride with, Eden and Wes, Alan and Susan, Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, and Wes's brother Brandon. We originally were going to go to Bear Lake which is a great ride, but I am so thankful we didn't. We ended up going to Hardware Ranch and then back down and grabbed an early dinner at Chili's. I was in so much pain. I am definitely too tall to be a passenger on a motorcycle. My butt and legs hurt so bad. Connor's bike is pretty uncomfortable, so before we go on any more rides together, there will be some changes to his bike! But it was a great time with family and it was long overdue!
On August 5th, we went to church, had the ward missionary's over, and then headed off to Kaysville to celebrate Carter's birthday. We had a good time. Next blog post, I will post a video of the trip. Carson was a laughing fool and we got it on video! Also look forward to his 6 month pictures! He is getting so big! I can't believe he is 6 months. We have his appointment this week and as well as the Cache County Fair and Rodeo! We love the fair and rodeo and cant wait to take Carson.
Until then... here are some pictures from my phone as well as a couple videos of my crazy rolling baby!
Carson still isn't a fan of baths, we may just have to bathe him every day so that he gets over it. He doesn't mind it with me or Connor. He splashes and plays.
On the way down to Carter's Birthday, we sat in the back of Susan and Alan's truck and he was so happy after he woke up.
One day I was at my mom's picking up Carson and he was so tired. He is not one to nap so I got home and he passed out during his diaper change. He is so funny that way.
But sometimes he sleeps for daddy very well...
Carson has learned to roll like crazy! We love it and hate it at the same time! Here are a couple of him rolling around!
